Description

Test Pits excavated by Northamptonshire Archaeology on behalf of the Northampton Wildlife Trust failed to locate any levels associated with the Battle of Northampton in 1460, but recorded modern made ground and the underlying natural alluvial and gravel layers and a stream channel that was recorded in historic maps from the C18th to C20th centuries.
