Description

{1} Two trenches, each 15m long, were excavated in the rear yard; two trenches, each 7m long, lay in the rear workshop of the former Swan Garage, and one test pit was excavated through the floor in the front showroom. The evaluation confirmed the potential for surviving archaeological deposits of medieval and later date in the south of the site. Despite severe truncation at the eastern end of the site, a good proportion of the deposits for 46 Sheep Street had survived at the frontage. Site code: NSS03
