Description
{1} A geophysical survey was conducted over 1.5 ha of agricultural land to the south of Blatherwycke in Northamptonshire. The survey located a number of magnetic anomalies possibly related to iron production or associated with magnetically thermoremnant material. Areas of magnetic debris suggest spreads of magnetically enhanced material such as slag and positive linear anomalies adjacent to these areas may be related. A former ridge and furrow field system is emphasised by modification of the distribution of magnetically enhanced soils.
