Description

{2} A fieldwalking and metal detector survey on land at the Elton Estate in February 2006 revealed pottery of medieval to early modern date, iron objects, predominantly nails and plough parts, a belt buckle and possible stirrup, and a small cluster of struck flints within the ploughsoil.
