Description

The works were to remove redundant overhead electrical supply poles from a hedgeline partly within the SAM. Due to mechanical failure of equipment, the posts could not be lifted out as planned. Instead they were cut off at ground level and the stumps left in situ. As no ground was disturbed, no archaeology was exposed.
