Description
{1} A archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Northamptonshire Archaeology from 2008 until 2010 during groundworks and the earthmoving phase of the reconstitution of Bury Mount, a Norman earthwork motte within the former Roman town of Towcester (Lactodorum). Notable Roman remains were found under the western edge of the motte. The motte ditch has been traced around its entire circumference,
