Description

Northamptonshire Archaeology carried out a desk-based assessment of Cogenhoe Primary School, Northamptonshire. The site was shown to be surrounded by areas of both white sand and ironstone quarrying. Phases of extraction appear to have taken place since at least the 17th century, but it is unclear if extraction has taken place under the school site.
