Additional note on mapping "Part covered during 1997 YC survey; extends into MK". {Information from NRHE record: Part of Ancient Woodland Project: Woodland compartments systematically searched for sites & earthworks. (Specific findings from Great Wood etc. not at present known to Excavation Index).Supplementary information from Mr P Malcolm, Forestry Commission. (E-mail 6. 8. 04.).Forestry Commission sources provided give a truncated name for this site ('Great, Ravenstone &'). The expanded name used in this record has been extrapolated using the names of woodland blocks falling adjacent to the NGR provided. (OS 1:10000 1980).]
