Description

{1} Between 19th and 21st February 2014, Oxford Archaeology East carried out an evaluation on land off Cranford Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire. This was carried out in advance of the proposed construction of a housing development and associated services, which is part of the larger East Kettering Development. The evaluation revealed a very shallow ditch, possibly of Roman date, along with a second undated ditch. In addition, a post-medieval pit (possibly a quarry), three, tree throws and several furrows, evidencing medieval ploughing, were present.
