Description

{1} Archaeological monitoring during restoration along part of a former meander of the River Ise revealed a Roman boundary ditch and Anglo-Saxon inhumation burials during preparation of the spoil storage area. Arrangements have been made to preserve the archaeological remains in situ and no further archaeological excavation has been undertaken at this time.
