Description

{1} Archaeological monitoring of the excavation of footings of an oak framed garage, workshop and equipment store. The investigation revealed natural sand and gravel layers above a buried layer of peat that overlay natural river silts. No archaeological remains were present within the investigation area. A single sherd of medieval pottery was retreived from the topsoil. Site code: FOMS14
