Description

The works comprised a 150m long and 2m wide trench. The archaeological excavation provided a transect across an extensive group of late Roman inhumations of the 4th century, from which the remains of 75 individuals were identified. A further 30 graves were also identified, but these were left undisturbed. Earlier Roman features included part of a field. A later trackway was also identified.
