Description

{1} A watching brief was undertaken during work to replace a series of floors and improve an existing link between the main body of Church End House and an outbuilding to the west. Although nothing was discovered which threw light on the early history of the house considerable remains of a series of under floor drains and tanks were investigated and recorded during the course of construction and some conclusions reached about earlier arrangements and functions of the outbuildings during the 19th and 20th centuries.
