{1} The monitoring programme revealed two brick-built garden wall footings of 19th-century date, associated with a house which had formerly stood adjacent to the stable block in the grounds of the Lodge. Much of the site, including the wall footings, was covered by a layer of redeposited material post-dating the demolition of the stables. An undated spread of ash, also covered by the redeposited layer, may also be connected with demolition of the Lodge buildings. The survival on the site of any buried heritage assets predating the mid-19th century seems unlikely in view of the degree of disturbance caused by the construction and demolition of the stable block and associated structures, and the installation of buried services up the drive to the house adjoining the development site.
