Description

{1} A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 2 hectares of arable farmland. Small areas of positive anomaly present can be considered to be of possible archaeological origin. These are somewhat masked by strong amorphous magnetic variation, which covers the majority of the site and is considered to be caused by the geology and pedology of the area. In the northern portion of the site, there are parallel linear anomalies thought to be of modern agricultural origin. There are also several isolated magnetic spikes as well as a small area of magnetic disturbance which likely relate to modern ferrous objects.
