Description

{1} Archaeological excavation was undertaken in order to mitigate the potential impact of development on any such archaeological remains as might be present. Two separate areas were excavated. In Area 1 the remains of medieval settlement, comprising two plots originating in the 10th century and abandoned by the 14th century, were found. The plots were reoccupied in the 17th century. Excavations within Area 2 revealed a potential Roman field ditch and medieval ditch that divided two ridge and furrow field systems.
