Description

{1} Archaeological observation undertaken during development. The western end of the site adjacent to Newland Street had been reduced prior to the start of the archaeological monitoring via the removal of an earlier cellar and reduction of the adjacent ground. A section of the footings had already been excavated and filled with concrete prior to the start of the observation and recording exercise. A single pit of probable medieval date was identified.
