Description

{1} Three trenches were excavated. Evidence of post-medieval/modern ground make-up or levelling, probably undertaken to reclaim or stabilise land adjacent to the River Nene, was identified in all of the excavated trenches. Further modern features comprising a large backfilled pit and a modern service trench were identified in Trenches 1 and 3 respectively. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were identified during the course of the evaluation.
