Description

{1} Sixteen trial trenches were excavated across the site to test the results of an earlier geophysical survey. Evidence of late prehistoric activity largely concentrated in the eastern and central part of the site, comprising a possible D-shaped and rectangular enclosure with two concentric ring gullies set between them. Limited dating evidence suggested a date between the middle and late Iron Age. Several other ditches may date to the medieval/post-medieval period.
