Description
{1} A strip, map and sample excavation was undertaken prior to development of two houses. The eastern third of the site, which falls within the ‘deserted medieval village’ designated area, contained small discrete features such as small oval pits, post holes and ditches, which were half-sectioned, while the remaining two thirds of the site contained very large, irregularly shaped and sometimes interconnecting pits.
