Description

{1} A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over c36ha of recently sown crop. The survey identified an area of probable Romano-British settlement, a rectilinear enclosure and areas of ridge and furrow cultivation. A number of possible archaeological anomalies have also been identified; however, it is not possible to determine their origin with any degree of confidence. The remaining anomalies are of geological or modern origin, relating to former field boundaries, agricultural activity, land drains, underground services, areas of scattered magnetic debris, ferrous objects and fencing.
