Description
{1} An archaeological watching brief was maintained during the construction of the bypass in 1991. The topsoil stripping programme and other works of potential archaeological interest were monitored. The road line was reputed to be on the site of a minor Civil War battle. No significant archaeological features or finds were made during the watching brief.
