Description

{1} Trial trench excavation was undertaken as part of a suite of conditioned works for a proposed holiday lodge park development. Fifteen trenches were excavated; archaeological features were encountered in ten of the trenches, including a probable prehistoric pit alignment and part of an Iron Age enclosure. An extensive irregular boundary ditch and two undated parallel boundary ditches or possible trackway drainage ditches were also recorded and were likely to be Iron Age, although there was only limited dating evidence. [project is actually in Nassington parish]
