{1} A total of eight trial trenches and two test pits were excavated to identify the former manor house which was demolished in the 18th century. At Bramblewood House the moat, a garden path, part of the northern wing and a backfilled cellar. At Mull House, to the east, the construction of a swimming pool had destroyed any remains of the eastern wing, although a backfilled cellar was identified. {2} Excavation of the remains of the former Manor House carried out by John Hieney in the garden of his property. [HER note: no trench plans included in report]
