Description

No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed and no artefactual material pre-dating the modern period was recovered. The absence of archaeological deposits may indicate that archaeological remains associated with the Roman and Medieval settlement of Towcester were either not exposed by the development groundworks, which affected a relatively small area, or have been removed by previous development on the site, including the construction of the existing property.
