Description

{1} An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology at Earls Barton Quarry for Hanson Aggregates in advance of extending the quarry into a single field, with an area of 7.6ha, lying adjacent to their Grendon Lakes gravel pit complex. The works were carried out in two stages, the northern half of the area was undertaken in 2003 and the southern half in 2004.
