Description

{1} The evaluation comprised the excavation of 20 trenches, each 50 m by 2 m, to provide a 2% sample of the site. Archaeological remains were encountered in five of the trenches; the distribution of the remains suggests a focus of archaeological activity in the central part of the site. A single potential cremation grave, comprising a spread of brownish grey clayey sand with charcoal and burnt bone, 0.6m in diameter, was uncovered in one trench.
