Description

Archaeological observation during the excavation of geotechnical test pits in Northampton’s Market square identified post-medieval demolition deposits, evidence of domestic waste, cess ‘like material and possible structures of unknown date. The site had stratified deposits of up to 6m in depth below the modern ground level.
