Description

CFA Archaeology Ltd carried out an archaeological evaluation on a proposed extension to Burton Wold Wind farm which lies to the south-east of Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire (centred on SP 915 736). The wind farm extension lies within a gently undulating landscape at the edge of a boulder clay plateau. The seven trenches excavated were focused on three proposed turbines, their associated crane pads and a proposed construction compound. A water pipe associated with the site of Glendon Farm and field drains were encountered but no significant archaeology was revealed. Information from OASIS.
