Description

A programme of archaeological trial trench evaluation was undertaken across Trenches 186-209 at Glenvale Park, Wellingborough, during July and August 2022. The trenches investigated a concentration of geophysical anomalies in the northern part of the site and confirmed the presence of Romano-British settlement activity, together with later Early to Middle Anglo-Saxon features. The remains principally comprised enclosure and boundary ditches, pits and associated agricultural features forming part of a wider settlement landscape identified across the northern area of the development.
