Description

A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 3.5 hectares of arable land. The survey has not identified any anomalies of probable archaeological origin. A number of possible archaeological anomalies have been detected, however these could equally be of agricultural origin. Former field boundaries and an area of ridge and furrow cultivation suggest that the area has a mostly agricultural past since the medieval period. The remaining anomalies are natural or modern in origin, relating to former tree boles, ferrous objects, and fencing. [OASIS online form] No illustrations with report; area of survey not defined
