The study established that the quality of the archaeological remains was good; mitigation proposals included limitation of topsoil-stripping to 120mm (around 30mm above the depth of the surviving buried deposits), subsequent raising of the site with imported fill to a height of between 600mm and 750mm above the stripped soil level, with the access road and rafted building foundation built into the fill [?......lacuna in text of summary at this point].
