Description

{1} TL 049892 area. Following completion of the major rescue excavation, archaeological observation was carried out of service trenches dug in connection with road improvements. Several areas of stonework and deep stratification denoted the existence of further buildings and associated yards which ran northwords to the vicinity of the Cotterstock Turn, where at TL 04958940 masonry of some quality was exposed. No detailed plans were recovered.
