Description

Building work being undertaken on the frontage of 25 The Woodlands. The spoil from the work was being used as a base layer for a patio elsewhere and a human mandible was found in one of the barrow loads of spoil. The police were contacted and the mandible was sent for radiocarbon dating. It was dated to the Iron Age. No other human remains appear to have been found.
