Description

A Desk-based assessment was undertaken by CFA Archaeology Ltd for Dallol Energy on Upper Higham Lane. Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, to assess the potential effects on the cultural heritage resources of a proposed development. The DBA revealed that the site may contain archaeological deposits and features below the level of the existing buildings. These are likely to be prehistoric or Iron Age in date and are significant in that they would date the potentially important prehistoric settlement in an area where almost no previous archaeological works have been conducted.
