ENN111642 - The Old Workshop, Church Lane, 2024 (Watching Brief)

Pre-Construct Archaeology was commissioned to undertake archaeological monitoring and recording at The Old Workshop, Church Lane. The investigations were required to investigate and record any archaeological remains revealed during the new development comprising the conversion of the existing outbuilding to a dwelling, including a side extension. Despite the limited area of ground disturbance required for the conversion work, the archaeological investigations did identify a continuation of the archaeological activity noted within the wider landscape, in the form of a ditch that could have served as a boundary ditch.
