Description
Archaeological monitoring, investigation and recording was carried out by Souterrain during the ground preparation for a new detached dwelling on the south-western periphery of the village of Wilby, on the SW side of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The work was carried out in two stages: the excavation of geotechnical test pits in March 2025, followed by soil stripping and excavation of foundation trenches in June 2025. There were no artefacts, features or deposits of archaeological significance.
