Description
Albion Archaeology was commissioned to excavate 40 trial trenches and following on from this, a small mitigation area was stripped to further map and investigate ditches in the north-east part of the site. Archaeological features were identified in twelve of the 40 trenches, as well as in the mitigation area. These features comprised a small number of ditches that may form a field system. None of the features could be securely dated but most have been assumed to be Iron Age-early Roman
