Description
Benchmark Archaeology undertook an archaeological field evaluation comprising three trial trenches on land north of Blackmires Lane, Silverstone in April 2026. The work was undertaken ahead of the construction of a detached self-build dwelling, garage and associated works. The evaluation revealed no archaeological features or deposits of archaeological significance. The only features recorded were modern service trenches.Based on the excavated evidence, the potential for complex archaeological remains to be encountered within the development footprint is considered here to be ‘low’.
