Purcell undertook a heritage assessment at Northampton University, the Avenue Campus Site in May 2016. The assessment found that the proposals will result in a moderate degree of harm to the herirtage values of the locally listed Maidwell Building negligible harm to the setting of the Grade ll-listed Newton Building; negligible harm to the character and appearance of the Kingsley Conservation Area; and,negligible or no harm to, and in some cases the enhancement of the other designated and non-designated heritage assets within the site boundary and in the surrounding area
