Description

Roadworks for bypass at Strixton turn in the manorial garden. Large quantity of 12th and 13th century pottery as listed in villhist. Shows that there was medieval settlement under the gardens which had been levelled in the 17th century and so were not visible. The notes list contents of some of the bags. Not published
