Description

{1} Housing estate works of Cobb's Lane in a field called Whiteheads Hollows revealed a 14th century building (32ft by 16ft) and yard area and earlier ditches containing pottery. Pottery published {2} Pottery includes a complete St Neots Ware bowl, Brill, Developed Stamford Ware and Lyveden II Ware, some sandy and shell-gritted wares late 12th century pottery, stained glass (?), glass bead (?). Large quantities of pottery: rims body sherds and bases. Animal bone (inc poss cow? jawbone). Excavated part of hearth.
