Description

In December 1960 a filled in well was noticed by quarry workmen and Roman pottery was retrieved from its fill. Two refuse pits to the west of the well also appeared to contain Roman pottery. In June 1961 another refuse pit was reported some 400 yds further south. Remains of four Samian and c50 vessels of coarse ware were recovered. Some were reconstructed in complete profile. No other occupation material was found
