Description
The key archaeological interest in this PDA is its proximity to burials of Medieval date, radiocarbon dated to the 12th-13th C. These burials were from within a Medieval Jewish cemetery, the exact limits of which are not yet defined. It is the proximity of the PDA to these remains, and to the cemetery, that forms the main focus of this assessment. Reference was also made to the existence of a stone basement beneath one of the existing buildings and need for further recording.
