Description

{1} Field evaluation on the site of Brackley Castle, a motte and bailey earthwork. Three trenches were placed on the motte and a fourth was located in the bailey. Archaeological deposits were encountered in one of the trenches in the centre of the motte; a sondage revealed up to 0.15m of stratigraphy. No features were encountered in the bailey trench. Site code: BKCS 91.
