Description

{1} Watching brief undertaken during refurbishment of one of the Scheduled ponds. Small quantities of modern pottery were observed but not retained. A man's leg boot dating to c1780-1820 was found in the dark silts. Evident that the pond had been subject to modern cleaning with only small areas of older material left in situ. Modern drains and a brick structure also observed.
