Description

{1} Trial excavation undertaken in an area of permanent pasture. A slight earthwork ridge was aligned NW-SE downslope towards the Ise Brook. No evidence of archaeological features relating to Roman aspect of the SAM were recovered. A minimum depth of 500mm of medieval and later ploughsoils lies abover the natural subsoil.
