Description

{1} Possible excavation undertaken at Luffield Priory {2} The Department of the Environment financed the work from the 1st-27th May and the 9th-22nd April 1972 and the Silverstone Leisure Pursuits Ltd furnished a further £500 in 1973 and the excavation was completed in 1975. Senior boys from Stowe School helped in 1974-5. A trench 128ft east to west and 32ft north to south was opened.
