Description

{1} As the field was not under cultivation at the time of the survey, transects at 30m intervlas were ploughed and allowed to weather prior to the survey. Small amounts of flint were recovered from all areas, though there was a greater proportion in the north-west third of the field. All the pre-medieval pottery lay to the north-west of the dry valley and the medieval pottery was evenly distributed across the field apart from the bottom of the slope, the low quantities suggsting no more than a manuring scatter.
