Description

A trench 0.4m x 6m x 1.5m deep was cut by machine for soil testing. The Doddridge burial ground was located but it was overlying and cutting an ironstone wall which had a rubble and mortar core. Natural geology was not observed. The wall was aligned ENE/WSW; the trench was aligned NE/SW.
